The students talked about seeing the world differently as a result of their conversations and group interactions and all of them were profoundly impacted by the way the resilience training made them think about their social interactions.

In all cases pupils fed back that not only did they feel that they were managing academic stress far more effectively but that also they were using the training to help them stop and think about choices they make in relation to social relationships.

It is abundantly clear to me the impact that this project will have on our young people. Understanding where our feelings come from and what they mean, which lies at the core of the curriculum, empowers us to decide how we feel about ourselves and our lives. This is the source of our mental wellness. What greater gift can we give our children?

Having seen the incredibly constructive and positive air that the provision has provided so far, I am in no doubt that this knowledge will impact many more of our students. We were lucky enough to be able to offer some one-to-one sessions as well. It speaks volumes that some of the most withdrawn pupils signed up independently for these intensive sessions after the fulfillment they developed within the initial project.

Michelle has had a major impact on where I find myself today and the kind of employee, colleague, manager and mother that I have become.  Having had two delightful daughters over this period, Michelle has coached me through the massive shift to being a working Mum and succeeding more than I thought possible. Knowing that I have this support mechanism in my life has truly kept me sane!
